Upon completion of the drive by at the North Bay Marina, follow route to the French River through the Manitou Islands arriving at Island 196 in the mouth of the French River. Boast MUST stay on the planned route (center of channel) through the islands as water levels are extremely low and under 5 feet outside the main channel. In open water, there are no hazards. Approaching the French River, boats must travel in the main channel and respect the green and red channel markers in particular Green Marker D9 which marks a large group of rocks approximately 500m north of the marker.
3rd Leg – Island 196 to Callander Bay Government Dock 11:30 – 12:00
Follow the same route leaving the French River. There are no hazards once boats leave the French until the approach to the entrance to Callander Bay. Channel markers must be respected as again, there are many large rock shoals in the area. Once in the Bay there are no hazards. Boats will raft off one another at the Callander Bay Government Dock. Transportation will be provided via deck boat. Smaller boats can park at the “T” on the inside.
12:20 Lunch at Lu Lu’s Restaurant Callander Bay
4th Leg Callander Bay to Iron Island 2:00 – 2:40

Shoals along the route as you pass the Goose Islands. Do not get too close to the South Shore as you approach Iron Island. Respect all navigation markers in the area as they are marking shoals that are less than 3 feet deep.
5th Leg Iron Island to North Bay Marina 2:50 – 3:30
