Good Times with Good Friends for a Great Cause!
The Rice Lake Charity Poker Run will be held on Rice Lake, Saturday September 11, 2010. Event headquarters, registration and the auction dinner is located at Rhino's Roadhouse in Bewdley, Ontario.
This will be the 21st year that the event has been held. It is held on Rice Lake and the Otonabee River in the Kawartha Lake region of Ontario, Canada.
The event attracts more than 60 boats, including O/B powered Lake Rockets, Multi Engine Offshore Hulls and Family Runabouts. The event covers up to 100 miles of Lake and River Boating with conditions varying from mild to wild.
Each year the event raises funds for The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, a national charity that grants heart-felt wishes to children suffering with life-threatening illnesses. Since 1984, Children’s Wish has granted wishes to more than 16,000 children and their families.
Children’s Wish has never refused a wish to an eligible child.
Over the 21 year history of this event, the Rice Lake Charity Poker Run has donated more than $150,000 to Children’s Wish. The event, hosted by Performance Boat Club, is known as one of (if not) the original Charity Poker Runs held on the water.
This year the Performance Boat Club will be making some wishes come true for some of the children by providing rides on Friday Sept. 10, starting at 3 PM. Be sure to come out and show your support for the kids!
Boats from 18 + feet are welcome.

Update on truck and trailer parking in Bewdley
Bewdley has completed all their upgrades to the road thru Bewdley now. It looks very refreshing. However along with the upgrades they have incorporated sidewalks and medians that were once not there.
In the past you could easily park trucks and trailers along the roadway.This will not be possible anymore. However they have now built a large parking lot to park all tow vehicles and trailers. The parking lot is located up and away from Captains Marina off of Rice Lake Dr.
